"Not Your Usual Bedtime Story" Premieres

The University of Arizona Southwest Institute for Research on Women (SIROW)’s Sex Ed Cinema Project is premiered Not Your Usual Bedtime Story, a short film exploring sexual health, created by and for teens!* at The Loft Cinema on Sunday, May 17th 2015.

This free community event recognized the efforts of the five youth project leaders behind the film's development and celebrate the release of the film and accompanying educational toolkit as a free and publicly available sexuality resource for all!

The event lasted from 10 am to 2pm including:

  • ​Breakfast
  • Visit tables and speak with representatives from local organizations dedicated to youth sexuality education and empowerment
  • Academic posters about the research projects and programs of SIROW and its partners
  • The film in its first public screening!
  • Youth project leaders and mentors panel discussion with Q&A
