SIROW was well-represented at this year’s 15th annual International Women’s and Children’s Health and Gender (InWomen’s) Group Conference held in Denver CO - Impacting the World Together Across Continents, Cultures, and Time.

SIROW’s Sally Stevens participated on the conference planning committee.

SIROW’s Rebecca Sustayta and Josephine Korchmaros presented with Alison Greene (SIROW Research Affiliate and Assistant Professor at Indiana University) on Ethnic/Racial Differences in Trauma Experiences of Women who have Substance Use Disorders and are Homeless/near homeless and their Application to Trauma-informed Services.

Alison Greene and Josephine Korchmaros presented A Trauma Experience Profile of Women who have Substance Use Disorders and are Homeless or Near Homeless. Two related articles are also available both published in the Community Mental Health Journal.: “Trauma experience among women who have substance use disorders and are homeless or near homeless” and “A research-informed approach to providing behavioral healthcare to women with extensive trauma histories.”
