SIROW Researcher Receives Continuing Funding for Researcher Role on Pima County’s Prosperity Initiative

SIROW’s Keith Bentele has received funding to continue in his role as a researcher for Pima County’s Prosperity Initiative. The Prosperity Initiative is an intergovernmental effort to develop wealthier communities across Pima County through policies that reduce generational poverty and improve opportunity. Dr. Bentele is a researcher for this initiative, identifying programs and policies with strong evidence of poverty reducing impacts. With project partners, Dr. Bentele has participated in presentations of Prosperity Initiative elements to: City of Tucson Commission on Equitable Development (Mar 2023), City of Tucson Mayor & Council Meeting (Apr 2023), Marana Town Council (Jun 2023), Pima County Regional Affordable Housing Commission (Jul & Aug 2023), Tucson Metro Chamber (Sept 2023), & the City of South Tucson Mayor & Council Meeting (Oct 2023).
