SIROW Research Technician Awarded Conference Scholarship
Fedora Preston-Haynes was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Rx Drug and Heroin Summit 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee. The scholarship was provided by the Community Prevention Coalition of Pima County (CPC) for the hard work and dedication with the Medicine Abuse Prevention Initiative Collaborative (MAPIC) in planning the annual 2019 Southern Arizona Opioid Symposium. Due to COVID-19 the summit was cancelled; however, a virtual experience of recorded sessions was created so that attendees could still participate, available to attendees for the next 12 months. Organizations, providers, and health care workers from across the country spoke on topics ranging from opioid involved outcomes, decisions about what patients receive Naloxone, to employment and hope a reason to recovery.Learn more about the RX Drug and Heroin Summit here: https://www.rx-summit.com/.
