SIROW Recently Welcomed Visitors from Myanmar

SIROW was happy to welcome visitors Dr. Ming Su and Dr. Kay Lwin Tun to the UA and to Tucson, AZ. Dr. Ming Su is head of the Zoology Department at Yangon University in Myanmar and Dr. Kay Lwin Tun is a professor in the Zoology Department & Director of the Lab of Aquatic Bioscience at Yangon University. Both have distinguished records in fisheries and marine biology and are working with SIROW researchers and scholars from other UA departments on the Developing a Sustainable Seafood Industry for Burma (also known as Myanmar) project. This project, which is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has a special emphasis on reaching women with training and outreach programs.
