Clarissa Savel

SIROW Health Educator

Clarissa Savel joined the SIROW team in January 2026 as a Health Educator for the Spectrum+ program, where she teaches sexual health and relationship wellness to youth ages 12–24. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Food Systems, along with a Certificate in Cross-Sector Leadership, from Arizona State University. Clarissa began her career as a Community Health Worker in Pima County, where she led Tai Chi classes and provided education on high blood pressure. In this role, her interest in community-based programming and social work grew. Engaging community members with compassion and cultural humility is central to Clarissa’s teaching and community work. She believes education—especially in health—is a powerful tool for autonomy, a human right she strives to make attainable for every young person. Motivated by a love of learning, Clarissa credits nature as one of her greatest teachers.
