About Stephanie Murphy, Ph.D.

Stephanie Murphy is an assistant research social scientist with the Southwest Institute for Research on Women. She holds a Ph.D. in Gender and Women's Studies with a graduate certificate in Human Geography from the University of Arizona. She has worked on a number of research projects in the areas of community health, workplace diversity, and youth empowerment and is currently writing a book about the early history of women's basketball.
